Vice Minister of Interior Mr. Genti Strazimiri attended in a meeting the Minister of Interior of Land of Brandengurg, Germany, Mr. Jorg Schonbom in the quality of the Chairman of the Conference og the Ministers of Interior of the Federation and Lands.
Vice Minister Strazimiri presented initially some of the main aspects of the organization, activitiy and achievements of the Ministry of Interior during the last three years and the objectives for the future.

The Ministry of Interior and the institution of the People Advocate organized a round table with the topic ''Cooperation of the People Advocate and State Police - guarantee for the functioning of the rule of law and the respect of human rights''.
Minister of Interior Mr. Bujar Nishani said in the meeting that the State Police during the last three years along with the improvement of the standards of security has had a progress visible also in the field of human rights.

The minister of Interior Mr. Bujar Nishani participated in the line meeting of the Salzburg Forum and Group of Friends that was held in Heviz, Hungary on date 02 - 04 October 2008. This meeting focused on the long term objectives of inside policies and justice of the countries member of this forum. The main topic of the discussion for the Group of Friends of Salzburg Forum, where Albania is taking part, was ''The security in the Western Balkan countries''.

Minister of Interior Mr. Bujar Nishani declared from the city of Lushnja the start of the distribution of certificates printed in all the offices of the civil status of the whole country.
During his official visit together with the mayor Mr. Albert Sanxhaku, the Vice Prefect Mr. Daut Sula and other local officials, the Minister Nishani said that the City Hall of Lushnja was chosen symbolically for the communication of the start of this process in the whole country menawhile this new service in the City Hall of Tirana has started in August.

Minister Nishani explained to the high official from the UK the results of the fight against organized crime, trafficking and corruption and the engagement of the structures of the Ministry of Interior of Albania to fight with zero tolerance these phenomenas.

The minister of Interior Mr. Bujar Nishani signed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Mr. Carl S. Wibye the agreements ''For readmission of unauthorized persons'' and ''For the visa facilitation''.
The agreement ''For the readmission of unauthorized persons'', on the basis of reciprocity defines faster procedures for the identification and safe readnission of the persons who don?t comply the requirements for entrance or stay in the territories of Albania or Norway and to facilitate the transit passage of these persons in a state of cooperation. This agreement is based in the Agreement between the EU and the REpublic of Albania for the Readmission of Unauthorized Persons which has enetered into power on 1 May 2006.

Minister of Interior Mr. Bujar Nishani led the first meeting of the interested parties of the Mission of Police Assistance of European Community in Albania (PAMECA III).
Minister Nishani thanked the two previous missions and the European Community for the continuous support to PAMECA Mission III, and, also thanked the Ministry of Interior of United Kingdom, the Enterprise of Public Sector of Northern Ireland and Ministry of Interior of Austria

Minister of Interior Mr. Bujar Nishani on 28.08.2008 released the order Nr. 1080 for the approval of regulation and work rules in the map to address the parts of public territory by the municipalities/communes. In this order are described all duties of local government units and their special services for the realization of this process. The order and its materials, especially photometric maps, determine and require the implementation of standards to create in time a complete and unified address system.
